For golf cart manufacturers

Golf carts powered by live solar energy

We pair our Golf Cart Battery (48V 100Ah LiFePO4) with a flexible solar panel fitted to the cart roof. The panel powers the cart while you drive and tops up the battery whenever it sits in the sun.

Live solar power. Recharge from the sun. No external charging needed.

Live solar power

The roof panel feeds the motor in real time while the cart drives.

Recharges from the sun

Every minute in daylight tops up the 48V battery, on the course or parked.

No external charging necessary

No charging station, no extension cord and no overnight plug-in.

How the roof solar system works

1. Sun hits the roof panel

A thin flexible panel follows the curve of the canopy and collects sunlight with no bulky frame.

2. MPPT controller

A 48V MPPT charge controller turns the panel output into safe charging for the LiFePO4 pack.

3. Battery stays topped up

Solar power goes to the motor first while driving, and the rest charges the 48V 100Ah battery.

4. More range, less plugging in

Carts recover charge between rounds, at the clubhouse, or parked in the lot.

Flexible solar panel mounted on the roof of a golf cart

A flexible panel sized for the roof

A typical two or four seat cart roof fits a flexible panel of about 300 to 450 W. In Costa Rica sun that is roughly 1.5 to 2 kWh a day in good conditions, which is several extra kilometers of range every day.

  • Lightweight and low profile, so the cart keeps its look and handling
  • Bonded to the roof, no drilling into structural parts
  • Weather sealed for rain, heat and humidity
  • Wiring and controller sized to the 48V system, ready for OEM integration

Why manufacturers choose solar carts

  • Lighter and slimmer

Flexible panels add very little weight compared to glass panels.

  • Protected battery

The BMS guards against over-charge, over-discharge and over-current.

  • Free energy every day

Fleets and owners spend less on charging and get more uptime.

Panel output and range depend on cart model, roof area, weather, driving style and load. Figures are estimates. We size each system with you.

Case studies

Solar golf carts in real use

Three typical deployments show how roof solar keeps carts charging from the sun alone.

White golf carts with solar roofs parked at a tropical beach resort

Resort fleet

Beach resort shuttle fleet

Challenge
A resort ran shuttle carts all day and lost hours to overnight charging and cable handling.
Solution
Each cart got a flexible roof panel, an MPPT controller and the 48V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery.
Result
Carts recharge from the sun between guest trips. No charging station or external charging is needed.

Golf club

Course cart fleet

Challenge
A club wanted to cut charging labor and electricity costs across its course fleet.
Solution
Solar roofs were fitted to the fleet so carts collect power during rounds and while parked.
Result
Carts stay topped up from daylight alone, so staff no longer plug in fleets every night.

Manufacturer

OEM factory integration

Challenge
A cart maker wanted a solar option without redesigning its chassis or adding weight.
Solution
We supplied a bonded flexible panel, wiring and controller sized to a 48V system, ready for line fitting.
Result
The solar roof is fitted on the assembly line and buyers get carts that recharge from the sun.

Examples are typical scenarios. Results vary with cart model, roof area, weather and use.
